Since the Frankfurter Neue Presse was already quite pleased with the Linotype fonts Vectora and PMN Caecilia it uses for event listings, when the time came to refresh the look of the rest of the paper, it turned to Linotype for advice. A relatively new member of the Linotype Platinum series, Sabon Next has made a name for itself as an excellent book typeface  but now, for the first time, it is also successfully being implemented in commercial newspaper print as well, proving its broad flexibility and diverse range of applications. For the first time on May 29, 2004, the widely circulated daily newspaper Frankfurter Neue Presse introduced a mix of Linotype fonts to improve its overall look and legibility: Sabon Next regular and bold for body copy and Bodoni Classico roman and bold for headlines.
