Now nine months later KP is ready to follow up with the expansion Born of Blood. The combination of turn based strategic play, real time battles, unique gameplay for the 4 races, streamlined management, compelling setting, and seamless multiplayer was a great start. KP made it very clear that SotS was the start of a franchise. With experience back to Homeworld:Cataclysm, the small team had been making space strategy games for a while now. It was the debut title for Kerberos Productions, but it was not the first game for the people who make up KP.

Sword of the Stars is a new entry into the 4X space strategy genre released last August.
